Some Issues Faced By Students in Latest SBI Clerk Form

State Bank of India is an Indian multinational, public sector banking and financial services company. It is a government owned corporation with its headquarters in Mumbai, Maharashtra. As of 2014 to15, it has assets of INR 20,48,080 crores and more than 14000 branches, including 191 foreign offices spread across 36 countries, making it the largest banking and financial services company in India by assets.State Bank of India is one of the Big Four banks of India, along with ICICI Bank, Bank of Baroda and Punjab National Bank. The bank traces its ancestry to British India, through the Imperial Bank of India, to the founding, in 1806, of the Bank of Calcutta, making it the oldest commercial bank in the Indian Subcontinent. Bank of Madras merged into the other two "presidency banks" in British India, Bank of Calcutta and Bank of Bombay, to form the Imperial Bank of India, which in turn became the State Bank of India.Government of India owned the Imperial Bank of India in 1955, with Reserve Bank of India India's Central Bank taking a 60% stake, and renamed it the State Bank of India. In 2008, the government took over the stake held by the Reserve Bank of India.
State Bank of India is a regional banking behemoth and has 20% market share in deposits and loans among Indian commercial banks. The roots of the State Bank of India lie in the first decade of the 19th century, when the Bank of Calcutta, later renamed the Bank of Bengal, was established on 2 June 1806. The Bank of Bengal was one of three Presidency banks, the other two being the Bank of Bombay on 15 April 1840 and the Bank of Madras incorporated on 1 July 1843. All three Presidency banks were as joint stock companies and were the result of royal charters. These three banks received the exclusive right to issue paper currency till 1861 when, with the Paper Currency Act, the right was taken over by the Government of India. The Presidency banks amalgamated on 27 January 1921, and the re-organised banking entity took as its name Imperial Bank of India. The Imperial Bank of India remained a joint stock company but without Government participation.

Form Filling Process Explanation :
Many of you are facing a lot of trouble while filling up the Clerk Form.
So all those who are yet to fill up the form, and are not able to do so, follow the post below.
Points that are likely to create confusion are as follows:

1) POST APPLIED FOR
There are 2 posts that you can apply for i.e..
(i) Junior Associate (Customer Support & Sales)
All those who are Graduates in any discipline from a recognised University or any equivalent qualification recognised as such by the Central Government.
(ii) Junior Agricultural Associates in clerical cadre in State Bank of India
Well most of you are to apply for the first post. Only those who are Graduates in Agriculture or Agriculture allied activities from a Government recognised university/Institute can apply for the 2nd post.

2) Another question in the form that is creating a confusion:
Do you want to apply under special recruitment drive for Tura Kashmir valley and Ladakh?
Under Special Recruitment Drive for Tura (Meghalaya) and Kashmir Valley & Ladakh candidates can apply for one District only. Candidates can appear for the test only once under this recruitment project. The candidates applying for vacancies, other than for Special Recruitment Drive for Tura (Meghalaya), Kashmir Valley & Ladhak , should be proficient (reading, writing, speaking and understanding) in official language of the State.

So all the students who belong to these regions can apply from here.
But make sure you know how to read write and communicate in the local languages of the region.

In the form they have asked you to fill out your district..if the option is not working, then move ahead, not a compulsion.
Make sure that you know how to read, write and communicate in the local/or official language if the state you are applying from.
Also your exam centre need not be same as that of your state or region. For example a student is from Telengana, and is currently working in Delhi. So he can choose his centre in Delhi.

3) Next question that is likely to create the confusion as to which Circle should one apply for?
But before we clear up this doubt, lets first explain to you the difference between a Circle and a State.
Well SBI has in all 14 circles, and most of the Indian States, where SBI has its offices fall under these 14 Circles.
So you have to choose your circle according to the State where you want a job in.
